Our task was to develop a plastic box which can be used for the storage and transport of products (food and non-food). The box should be foldable in order to reduce transport or storage costs when empty. The box should be designed in such a way as to perfectly comply with all requirements along the entire process chain, i.e. product protection, stability, simple handling, easy cleaning and hygiene. The box should be equipped with an active fastening system to make folding easier.
The foldable Twistlock Box comes in its own unique, attractive and unmistakeable design and is equipped with a turnable active lock which prevents accidental folding. When folded, its height is only 28mm. Although almost no ribbing is used to reinforce the box, it is still very sturdy and efficient to handle. It thus fulfils all the requirements of modern and cost-efficient transport packaging.
Our task was to develop a device for reducing write-offs on fruit and vegetable shelves.
The goal is to improve the presentation of goods on fruit and vegetable shelves and increase merchandise density. Full shelves, however, often imply stacked goods. This affects quality as underlying goods are squashed and damaged. Fruit and vegetable shelves turn into rummaging tables, goods fall down to the floor, the display is no longer perfect. The newly-developed Eye-Catcher is a special frame which is permanently placed underneath the fruit and vegetable packaging on the shelf. The frame is equipped with pins which latch into openings at the bottom of the sales packaging. The pins lift the goods out of the packaging by means of an inlay. The goods move to the fore without being stacked and the packaging looks full! A flawless display, better protected goods, keen customers and fewer write-offs are the result!
The Lightbox is the answer to expensive disposable cartons for voluminous and lightweight articles. The main requirements to be met were an optimal ratio of useable volume to compressed volume when empty and safe transport in automated packing stations and storehouses. Automated loading of the Lightbox should not only be possible from the top, but also from the side – by sliding the articles through the sidewalls which fold outwards. The Lightbox was designed to be reduced to a height of only 28.3 mm when empty, despite its large useable volume. This reduces costs during empty transport and storage and all processes involving empties. The Lightbox is therefore the cheap packaging solution for light and bulky articles.
Our task was to develop a plastic box with foldable sidewalls. This was to enable products to be conveyed into the transport box without lifting. The sidewall is folded down and the products are pushed into the box. Due to the handling of pharmaceutical products, strict hygiene standards were an absolute must during development! In addition, the box should also be equipped with a lid so that it can be stacked. The box was designed completely without ribbing in order to fulfil strict hygiene requirements. Despite its foldable sidewall, the box is very stable and easy to use.
